My latest project is a holiday apartment renovation in Sea Point. The project was initially for concept development and interior decor and furnishings, but soon the client wanted to update his new holiday home with more modern fittings and finishes.

I was really excited as I got to completely take apart the outdated finishes, mouldings, doors and sanware. We completely redid all three bathrooms, new solid wood floors in the bedrooms, new doors, handles and mouldings.

The brief was to create a warm and welcoming space while still remaining minimalist and clean. The goal was to marry the modern likes of the husband with the more feminine likes of his wife.

The concept "Warm Eclectic" really fit the look and feel the client wanted to achieve. The interior architecture introduced new brass door handles and beautifully designed cornice and skirting. This brought a feminine yet modern touch to the space.

With the bathrooms I introduced concrete floor and wall tiles which added to the modern aesthetic, adding gorgeous matt black fittings and finishing it off with round brass back-lit mirrors.

We are still in the process of selecting homeware and accessories which will for the perfect finishing touch to the space.
